To cap off a crazy 48 hours for the Los Angeles Kings and their fans. Something even weirder than seeing Jonathan Quick in a Columbus Blue Jackets Jersey has happened.

After rumors started on Wednesday, it was confirmed Thursday morning that Quick was traded to the Las Vegas Golden Knights.

Quick moving to a division rival, who the Kings might face in the playoffs is an odd sight.

A club legend who's become synonymous with the team, seeing him suit up for one of the teams biggest rivals will no doubt hurt many fans.

On a personal level for Quick, this is a good move.

It give him the chance to compete in the playoffs for potentially the last time and keeps him close to his home in Los Angeles.

Drew Doughty and Anze Kopitar also addressed the trade Thursday morning.

It's going to be odd for them, but they're both happy for Quick.

"We wish him all the best," said Kopitar. "Whatever that is, if he goes to Vegas, we've heard rumors, obviously, but what I want for him is to go to a place where he has a chance to play. Wherever that may be. And wish him the best wherever that may be."

"I'd love to score on Quickie," added Doughty through a smile. "I'm a little scared of the fire he's probably going to have in his belly."

It's a tough situation for those involved. And I'm sure everyone will have the Kings vs Knights game at Crypto.com Arena on April 6. circled on their calendar.
