Stano’s Daily: Clarke a CHL First-Team All-Star

Brandt Clarke

On Thursday the CHL announced their All-Star teams, and Los Angeles Kings defenseman Brandt Clarke was selected as a first-term All-Star.

This should be no surprise for anyone that followed Clarke’s season after returning to the AHL.

Clarke put together an unbelievable season in the OHL, scoring 61 points in 31 games.

Clarke’s 1.97 points per game led the OHL. Clarke also added 23 points in 12 playoff games.

It was one of the most dominant offensive seasons from a defenseman in the modern era of the OHL. It should also set up an excellent season for Clarke as a first-year pro in 2023-24.

Whether that’s in the NHL or the AHL is yet to be seen.
