After a disappointing road trip, the Los Angeles Kings finally get a piece of good news.

Quinton Byfield is back practicing with the team and closing in on a return to the lineup. Todd McLellan was clear that Byfield still has work to do before he's game ready though.

"He (Byfield) is back with the team, which is a good sign," McLellan said. "He lost a lot of weight, he's going to need to get strong again, he'll need some time to recover."

Byfield hasn't played since Oct. 25, against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
