Stano’s Daily: Former Kings Win Gold & Game Six

Tyler Toffoli Kings

With Team Canada claiming gold at the World Championships, two former Los Angeles Kings forwards, Milan Lucic and Tyler Toffoli come home as champions.

Toffoli captained Canada to the Gold and finished with six points in 10 games. Lucic finished four points in 10 games.

It’s Toffoli’s second gold medal at the World Championships after winning it in 2015 and Lucic’s first.

It was a tough season for Lucic and Toffoli in Calgary with the team underachieving, but the gold medal here is an okay consolation prize.

Both are still waiting to see who their next coach will be after Darryl Sutter was let go.

Game Six in Dallas:

The Dallas Stars are hoping to be the first team ever to reverse sweep after the second round and a win on Monday will get them one step closer.

An interesting thing to watch for is the return of captain Jamie Benn, who missed the last two games due to suspension.

The Stars won both games without Benn and should get a boost of confidence from their captain’s return.

Dallas still has a long way to go, but if they capture Game Six, they’d be my favorite heading into Game Seven.

That lose would demoralize the Vegas Golden Knights and the Stars would come in with sky-high confidence.
