Kings Prospect Laferriere Expected to Sign ELC
Laferriere led Harvard in goals with 21 and added 21 assists in his sophomore season.
According to a report by DailyFaceoff's Frank Seravalli, Harvard forward and Los Angeles Kings prospect Alex Laferriere is expected to sign his entry-level contract and turn pro soon.
Hearing #LAKings prospect Alex Laferriere is also leaving Harvard to sign after his sophomore season. He edged #Flames first-round pick Matt Coronato in scoring this year.
Laferriere is expected to burn the first year of his deal and play games for the Kings this regular season.

Laferriere has shot up the Kings' prospects list in the last few seasons, ranking at number five in the system in Scott Wheeler's latest rankings.
Laferriere finished second on Harvard in points behind Montreal Canadiens prospect Sean Farrell and above Calgary Flames first round pick Matt Coronato.
Laferriere led Harvard in goals with 21 and added 21 assists in his sophomore season.
A prolific scorer at every level, Laferriere plays with a physical edge the Kings lack in their system.
According to Seravalli's report, Laferriere is expected to play games for the Kings this regular season.
While I wouldn't rule that out, given the Kings' logjam at forward it seems he's more likely to finish the season with the Ontario Reign.
When players like Arthur Kaliyev and Jaret Anderson-Dolan are regular scratches, it's hard to imagine another forward being added to the mix.
The Reign haven't been the powerhouse they were last season and adding a high-quality player like Laferriere could give them a needed push heading into the postseason.
According to FloHockey's Chris Peters on the latest AllTheKingsMen Podcast, Laferriere's future is more likely to be a bottom-six forward than top-six in the NHL.
If he becomes what Peters describes, a physical bottom-six goal scorer, that will be huge for the Kings.
